Legislative action

The Legislature shall act upon the recommendations of the Commission not later than 90 days after the recommendations have been submitted to the Legislature. Nonaction on the recommendation within the 90-day period is deemed an approval by the Legislature of the recommendations. If the Commission’s recommendations are approved or amended the salary, expense, allowance, and other emolument determinations take effect for the legislative session immediately following the next general election.
