Va. Code Ann. § 18.2-504.1, under Miscellaneous..

Va. Code Ann. § 18.2-504.1

If any person residing in this Commonwealth changes his name or assumes another name, unlawfully, he shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.
