Amcor's acquisition of Bemis transferred these customer qualification relationships -- the most valuable, hardest-to-replace assets in pharmaceutical packaging -- from a US packaging specialist to a global packaging conglomerate. The April 2025 Berry Global acquisition added additional healthcare packaging capacity and non-woven medical fabrics. Amcor's pharmaceutical packaging business is now embedded in both the US IV solution supply chain (from Bemis heritage) and European hospital pharmaceutical packaging -- from an Australian-headquartered company that also packages Vegemite jars and Cadbury chocolate.
