Honeywell Safety Products' gas detection platform (BW Clip, MicroClip, Sieger) spans the full range of gas hazard monitoring from individual worker-worn portable detectors to fixed perimeter systems at industrial plants. Honeywell Analytics' Midas fixed gas detector is specifically engineered for semiconductor fab cleanroom environments — monitoring for the extremely toxic and flammable specialty gases (silane, arsine, phosphine, NF3) used in chip manufacturing. The same Honeywell gas detection technology family that monitors oil and gas workers for methane and H2S also monitors semiconductor fab workers for gases that are lethal at parts-per-billion concentrations. Honeywell's gas detection platform is simultaneously inside the most basic industrial environments (oil field, construction site) and the most advanced manufacturing environments (semiconductor fabs) — the same infrared/electrochemical sensor technology applied across a 5-order-of-magnitude range of gas concentration concern.

Honeywell Safety Products assembled its portfolio through acquisitions of legacy PPE brands across worker safety categories: Morning Pride (firefighter turnout gear, Dayton OH, acquired 2015 from NORCROSS Safety), Miller Fall Protection (construction/industrial harnesses, acquired from Bacou-Dalloz), Howard Leight (hearing protection, acquired from Bacou-Dalloz 2004), North Safety Products (industrial respirators, acquired from Norcross 2015). Each acquisition added a different worker population and PPE category: Morning Pride serves the 1.1 million career and volunteer US firefighters; Miller serves construction and industrial workers at heights; North/Howard Leight serves workers in high-noise and respiratory hazard environments. Honeywell Safety is one of only two or three companies (alongside 3M and MSA) that can provide comprehensive life-safety PPE across nearly all OSHA-regulated categories.
