Pinhalense S/A Máquinas Agrícolas was founded in and takes its name from Espírito Santo do Pinhal, São Paulo state — a municipality in the heart of Brazil's traditional arabica coffee-growing region (the Mogiana and Cerrado zones that together produce approximately 30% of Brazil's ~65 million bag annual harvest). The company has supplied coffee processing equipment to Brazilian fazendas and cooperatives for over 60 years, specializing in the dry and pulped-natural processing methods that Brazil uses for the vast majority of its crop. Unlike Colombian and Central American coffee (predominantly wet-processed), Brazilian arabica is overwhelmingly naturally dried — meaning Brazilian coffee processing requires mechanical dryers, hullers, and parchment removers rather than the water-intensive wet pulping equipment used in Colombia.
