Origin2022
Xingda International Holdings (HKEx: 1899), based in Suqian, Jiangsu Province, is China's largest steel tire cord manufacturer by volume and represents the vertical integration of China's tire supply chain: Chinese high-carbon steel rod (from Jiangsu Shagang, Hansteel, and other domestic mills) flows to Xingda's wire-drawing plants, where it is converted to tire cord that goes to Chinese tire OEMs, which then export tires globally under brands like Linglong, Triangle, Sailun, and Zhongce. When Western tire buyers source from Chinese tire brands as a cost alternative to Bridgestone or Michelin, they are typically unknowingly sourcing from a supply chain where Xingda is a dominant material supplier. Xingda's Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing (rather than A-share) gives it access to international capital while maintaining operational concentration entirely within China's domestic industrial system. The company's scale — it produces several hundred thousand tons of tire cord annually — makes it a structural element of global tire supply; any disruption to Xingda (energy rationing in Jiangsu, steel feedstock constraints, trade tension) propagates into Chinese tire export capacity and by extension into the markets (Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America) where Chinese-branded tires have become dominant.
