Primary ArcelorMittal heavy rail production facility; produces long rail for European and export markets including North America. Luxembourg is home to the world headquarters of ArcelorMittal. Differdange mill has produced rail since the early 20th century. A small but strategically significant country (population 650,000) is a primary global rail producer. ArcelorMittal also produces rail at Hayange, France (historical steel-making region in Lorraine).
