Asahi Holdings Bando Plant (Ibaraki)
Asahi Holdings' Bando Plant in Ibaraki Prefecture — a precious and rare metals recycling facility that recovers indium from ITO target manufacturing scrap, LCD panel waste, and compound semiconductor residues. Secondary indium recovery (from scrap rather than primary ore) is critical for the circular economy; used ITO sputtering targets still contain 70-80% of their original indium.
