Bayer Crop Science's Monheim am Rhein campus is the primary R&D and manufacturing center for Bayer's pyrethroid insecticide portfolio including lambda-cyhalothrin (Karate). The Monheim campus represents one of the few remaining large-scale Western European pyrethroid manufacturing operations as Chinese generic producers have captured most commodity pyrethroid volume.
