Essex Furukawa Magnet Wire headquarters and primary US magnet wire manufacturing plant in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Produces full range of round and rectangular enameled copper magnet wire (AWG 10-AWG 44), polyurethane/polyamide-imide/polyester-imide insulation grades. Fort Wayne has been the center of Superior Essex magnet wire production since the 1930s (formerly Essex Group, then Superior Essex, now Essex Furukawa). The 2019 joint venture formation between Superior Essex and Furukawa Electric consolidated world #1 US and world #1 Japanese magnet wire producers at this site.
