Evonik MetAMINO Antwerp (Belgium) Facility

Evonik's European DL-methionine finishing plant (~120,000 MT/year). Fed by MMP (methylmercaptopropanal) intermediate from Evonik Wesseling Germany — Wesseling closed its DL-methionine production line Q1 2021 but continues as intermediates-only site with a EUR25M-upgraded MMP plant (January 2023 announcement) supplying Antwerp. In October 2024 Evonik celebrated 50 years of methionine production in Antwerp — the site first opened for methionine in 1974.
