ExxonMobil's Baton Rouge, Louisiana chemical plant is the world's largest single isopropyl alcohol manufacturing facility. ExxonMobil began commercial IPA production in 1920 (over 100 years of operation). The plant has served semiconductor applications since 1992. ExxonMobil announced $100M+ investment to upgrade Baton Rouge by 2027 for 99.999% ultra-pure electronic-grade IPA.
