Centrus American Centrifuge Plant (ACP) — Piketon, OH
Only NRC-licensed centrifuge enrichment demonstration in the US. Operates 16 AC100M centrifuges; licensed in 2021. Capacity is tiny (~0.1 million SWU/yr demo). DOE contracted Centrus for HALEU (High-Assay LEU) production beginning 2023. Full-scale buildout would require $2–4B investment and 4–6 years. The plant exists as a proof-of-concept but cannot supply US fleet needs today.
