Grede Liberty Foundry
Historic Grede Liberty foundry (est. 1920); part of Grede Holdings' contracted footprint post-2025 divestitures. Grede sold its Browntown WI and Iron Mountain MI plants to TRM Equity II (completed November 28, 2025) and closed Brewton AL (end 2025). Remaining Grede plants (6 locations) are under Gamut Capital Management (NY PE, acquired from American Axle for $245M in 2019). Liberty-brand heritage foundry assets still serve ag, construction, and commercial vehicle OEMs with large axle housings and drivetrain castings.
