Guangxi Camptotheca acuminata Cultivation Zone
Primary Camptotheca acuminata plantation zone centered in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Guangxi's warm subtropical climate, high humidity, and red-clay soils make it the most productive region for C. acuminata cultivation globally. Trees require 3-5 years of growth before meaningful alkaloid content is achieved. Bark, wood, leaves, and seed are all harvested; bark and wood have highest camptothecin concentrations (0.3-0.5% dry weight). Haoshu International and other extraction companies source plant material from Guangxi plantations. The region also hosts C. acuminata along roadsides and in forestry plots — a semi-wild cultivation pattern common for Chinese medicinal botanicals.
