Hartalega NGC (Next Generation Complex) — Sepang
Hartalega's Next Generation Complex (NGC) in Sepang, Selangor is the flagship of next-generation Malaysian glove manufacturing automation. The NGC was purpose-built to reduce labor intensity vs conventional glove factories — automated dipping lines, robotic glove stripping, automated packing, and AI-assisted visual quality inspection reduce the workers-per-line ratio by approximately 50% versus Hartalega's older facilities. The NGC campus is divided into production plants (Plant 1-7 built progressively 2013-2022) with centralized utilities (gas furnaces, chemical mixing). Each production plant contains 12 automated dipping lines. NGC total capacity: ~25 billion gloves per year. Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) dedicated high-voltage substation serves the NGC campus. The NGC is Hartalega's primary response to Malaysia's migrant labor dependency and ESG pressures from international buyers.
