Hunan Province Fluorite Valley — Fluorspar Mining District

Chenzhou area, Hunan Province — informally known as China's 'Fluorite Valley.' The highest-concentration fluorspar mining district in China and arguably the world. Multiple state and private mining entities operate here. Fluorspar mined in Hunan feeds HF plants across Hunan, Jiangxi, and coastal export hubs. China's total fluorspar production is ~3.9 million tonnes/year (2023 USGS), approximately 65% of global supply. Hunan and Gansu together account for the large majority of Chinese output.
