JBT Frigoscandia primary IQF freezer manufacturing and engineering facility in Helsingborg, Sweden — birthplace of the modern IQF tunnel freezer. Frigoscandia Equipment was the Swedish company that commercialized the fluidized-bed IQF tunnel freezer concept in the 1960s; JBT acquired the company in 2014. The Helsingborg site remains the design and engineering center of excellence for JBT's GYRoCOMPACT and ADVANTEC IQF product lines. Equipment shipped globally to major frozen food processors.
