Jiangxi Copper Guixi Smelter Complex
World's largest single copper smelter complex in Guixi city, Jiangxi Province. Processes ~1.5 million tonnes of copper concentrate per year into LME Grade A copper cathode — approximately 3% of global supply from a single facility. Operates multiple flash smelting furnaces and electrolytic refining lines. Also produces sulfuric acid (byproduct of copper smelting; sold to fertilizer manufacturers) and precious metals (gold, silver) recovered from anode slimes.
