Only US production site for amorphous metal ribbon (AMORPHOUS 2605SA1 alloy). Wholly-owned by Proterial (formerly Hitachi Metals, Japan). As US DOE efficiency standards push utilities toward amorphous core distribution transformers, this single facility is the only US domestic source.
