NGK Insulators — Nagoya HQ / Chita Bushing Plant (Aichi)
NGK Insulators' primary bushing and insulator production complex near Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Includes Nagoya Headquarters/Mizuho site (2-56 Suda-cho, Mizuho) and the Chita Plant (bushing-focused). Produces the world's largest porcelain bushing shells: 11.5 meters long, 1.6 meters diameter, for UHV transmission applications at 800kV–1,100kV. NGK is the sole global manufacturer of UHV-class porcelain bushing shells of this scale. Global grid infrastructure projects requiring UHV-class bushings (China's UHVDC grid, Japan's backbone transmission, India's PGCIL) depend on NGK Nagoya/Chita for the ceramic insulation components.
