NHU Xinchang DL-Methionine Plant
NHU's 150,000 MT/year DL-methionine plant; started trial production August 2023, commercial October 2023 (after delaying from June 2023 target due to price crash). NHU's entry was the primary catalyst for the 2023 global methionine price crash — prices fell from COVID-era peaks above $5,000/MT to ~$2,700/MT by December 2023. NHU also produces vitamins E and A from the same Xinchang complex, making it a multi-feed-additive producer simultaneously.
