Nobian Delfzijl Salt Mining & Chlor-Alkali Complex
Nobian's primary integrated operation: salt mining, brine production, and chlor-alkali electrolysis in one contiguous facility in Groningen, Netherlands. Salt production at Delfzijl began 1959 alongside a new chlor-alkali plant. Historically, brine from Boekelo was transported via 2,200-meter pipeline. Nobian is a key anchor in the Dutch and German chemical park ecosystems.
