OCP Jorf Lasfar Industrial Complex — Morocco
World's largest single phosphate processing complex. Receives phosphate slurry from Khouribga via 175km pipeline. Houses multiple sulfuric acid plants (burning imported elemental sulfur), phosphoric acid plants, and fertilizer granulation. Consumed 11.3M MT H2SO4 in 2023. Atlantic port access for importing sulfur and exporting fertilizers. OCP's $1.2B expansion (announced Jan 2025) will add further H2SO4 and fertilizer capacity here.
