Oman Gypsum Export Hub (Salalah/Sohar)

Oman is the world's largest natural gypsum exporter (7.4 Mt in 2017; overtook Thailand). Primary export market: India (~33% of Oman's exports, ~2.45 Mt/year) driven almost entirely by Indian cement plants. Multiple Omani producers (Salalah Gypsum Company and others) extract from the Dhofar region. Holcim listed as operator for DB constraint; actual Omani production is from independent local companies.
