Perkins Engines primary manufacturing facility in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, UK; opened 1932; one of the world's largest single-site diesel engine plants by production volume. Produces the Perkins 400, 800, 1100, 1500, 2000, and 2800 series diesel engines spanning 5kW to 500kW — the complete range for telecom tower gensets, light commercial standby power, and small hospital generators. Approximately 3,000 employees. The Peterborough plant is the backbone of global telecom tower backup power, with Perkins engines running in millions of tower generators across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
