Port Klang CPO / Refined Palm Oil Terminal (Malaysia)
Port Klang (Federal Territory, Malaysia; 40km from Kuala Lumpur) is Malaysia's largest container and bulk commodity port, and the primary export gateway for Malaysian crude and refined palm oil. Approximately 30-35% of Malaysian palm oil exports transit Port Klang. Co-located tank farms and bulking installations at North Port and West Port handle CPO, refined palm oil (RPO), and palm kernel oil (PKO). Key operators at Port Klang palm storage: Sime Darby Oils, IOI Loders Croklaan, KLK OLEO. Bulk CPO tankers load at berths designed for 30,000-60,000 tonne vessels. Malaysia's Commodity Trading Commission (Bursa Malaysia Derivatives — the world's largest palm oil futures exchange, BMD) quotes CPO futures priced at delivery to Port Klang — making Port Klang the global price discovery reference point for palm oil.
