Primary Progress Rail / EMD locomotive assembly facility. Produces SD70ACe, SD70AH, and other EMD locomotive variants. ~120 new locomotives/year; also major rebuilding/modernization operations extending Class I fleet life. EMD brand locomotives (SD-series) are the primary fleet of BNSF; the SDxx designation remains iconic to US freight railroading. EMD engine manufacturing heritage from GM's La Grange IL facility (EMD's original plant) — now concentrated at Muncie.
