Southern Copper Toquepala SX-EW Plant (Moquegua, Peru)
SX-EW copper cathode plant co-located with Southern Copper's Toquepala open-pit mine in the Atacama highlands of Moquegua, Peru. Produces LME Grade A copper cathode from oxide ore via solvent extraction and electrowinning. Toquepala is one of Peru's most important copper operations; SX-EW cathode is shipped from Ilo port on the Pacific coast.
