Operated by Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd.JP · Ehime

Sumitomo Chemical's Ehime Works (Nihama / Niihama, Ehime Prefecture) is the primary Japanese manufacturing complex for Sumitomo's agrochemical active ingredients including dinotefuran and acetamiprid. The Niihama site has been Sumitomo's core chemicals production facility since 1915 — one of Japan's oldest continuous chemical manufacturing locations. Dinotefuran, developed jointly with Mitsui Chemicals Agro, is produced here for domestic Japanese use (especially rice paddy water weevil control) and for global export under Safari, Venom, and Starkle brand names.
