Bang Pa-in Industrial Estate, Ayutthaya Province, Thailand. Produces Teijinconex neo — a dyeable meta-aramid fiber variant that can be colored to customer specifications without additional chemical treatment. Construction December 2013 – August 2015; investment ~JPY 4.5 billion (~$36M); 70 employees; 22,985 m² site. Capacity ~2,200 metric tons/year. Teijinconex neo targets heat-resistant protective apparel; dye-ability is a key differentiation over Nomex (which can only be dyed by specialized treatment). REACH compliant. Teijin aimed for JPY 20B in global protective apparel sales by 2020, leveraging this Thailand facility as cost-effective Asian production.
