    Thermal Imaging Camera Production

    Vanadium oxide (VOx) microbolometer focal plane array detector chip fabrication (Teledyne FLIR, Wilsonville OR; LYNRED, France) followed by camera housing assembly, lens integration, and calibration. Teledyne FLIR is vertically integrated: it both makes detector chips and assembles the finished firefighting TIC cameras (K-series, F-series).

    Standards Certification & Deployment

    NFPA 1971 (turnout gear), NIOSH 42 CFR Part 84 (SCBA), and UL/FM (suppression agents) certifications required before deployment. SCBA cylinders require DOT hydrostatic retest every 5 years and retirement at 15 years, creating mandatory replacement cycles. NFPA 1971 re-certification after any material change takes 18–24 months.
