Major Tokai Carbon rubber-grade carbon black facility in northern Japan. Ishinomaki was severely damaged by the March 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami; the city rebuilt including industrial infrastructure. Coastal location for feedstock import. Tokai operates 7 Japanese CB plants in total.
