World's single largest electronic-grade polysilicon facility; ~27% of global EG polysilicon from this site. Siemens CVD process (trichlorosilane decomposition at ~1100°C on silicon rods). Burghausen is Wacker's primary chemical complex on the Salzach River. EG polysilicon here achieves 11N purity (<1 ppt metal impurities). Any disruption at Burghausen would materially affect global semiconductor wafer supply within months.
