Primary production base for Yantai Tayho Advanced Materials, located in Yantai, Shandong Province, China. Produces meta-aramid fiber (Newstar®) with 8,000 MT/year capacity and METASTAR® aramid paper for transformer insulation. Also produces Taparan® para-aramid yarn (1,000 MT/year capacity). As China's largest meta-aramid producer, Tayho is the primary domestic Chinese alternative to DuPont Nomex. Also has secondary facility in Ningdong, Ningxia.
