Argon Gas (insulating glass fill)
Ultra-dry argon gas (>99.995% purity) used to fill the cavity of insulated glass units (IGUs), reducing thermal conductivity vs. air-filled units by ~15–20%. Industry-standard for double-pane windows; krypton used in premium narrow-cavity triple-pane units. Produced by air separation units (Linde, Air Liquide, Air Products) as co-product of oxygen production.
