Electronically commutated permanent magnet brushless DC fan motors for condenser and indoor blower applications. Required for high-SEER2 systems; 30–50% more efficient than legacy PSC motors. ebm-papst (Germany), Nidec (Japan), and Chinese OEMs (Wolong Electric, Broad-Ocean Motor) supply global HVAC OEMs.
