Plant-based protein for soy-based infant formula (used for milk protein allergy or galactosemia). Must meet stricter purity than food-grade SPI: low phytate, low trypsin inhibitor. L-methionine supplementation required. ADM and Solae are major suppliers. ~15-20% of US formula market.
