Title 1 › Chapter 3— CODE OF LAWS OF UNITED STATES AND SUPPLEMENTS; DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA CODE AND SUPPLEMENTS › § 202
Under the House Judiciary Committee’s supervision, the government must prepare and publish a supplement each Congress session to the current U.S. Code and to the current District of Columbia Code. Each supplement must add the laws from that session and fix errors in the current edition and its prior supplements. The government must also publish new editions of both Codes that fix errors and include the then-current supplement. New editions may not be issued more often than once every five years. Copies of new editions must be distributed the same way supplements are. Supplements published after a new edition must not repeat laws from supplements issued before that edition.
