Each reserve component’s Ready Reserve must include a Selected Reserve. The Selected Reserve is made up of units and any reservists the branch secretary names who meet the training rules in section 10147(a)(1) of this title or section 502(a) of title 32. How the Selected Reserve is organized and which units are in it must be approved.
