Summary

Under rules the Secretary of the Air Force sets, officers who must show cause for staying in Space Force active status must get a written notice at least 30 days before a retention board hearing that tells them why. They must be given a reasonable time to prepare, may attend in person or by electronic means and have a lawyer, and must get access to and copies of relevant records unless the Secretary withholds them for national security. If a record is withheld, the officer must be given a summary of it as far as national security allows.
