The Secretary of the Army must have an official seal for the Department of the Army. The President must approve the design, and courts must accept the seal as official without needing more proof.

The Secretary of the Army shall have a seal for the Department of the Army. The design of the seal must be approved by the President. Judicial notice shall be taken of the seal.
