After an order for relief, the U.S. trustee must promptly appoint one person without conflicts from the private-trustee panel or the trustee then serving as interim. If none do, the U.S. trustee may serve. Interim service ends when a trustee chosen under section 702 qualifies under section 322. An interim trustee is a trustee in the case.
