If any of the events below happen, an approved mortgagee must tell the Secretary in writing right away. The events are: being debarred, suspended, given a Limited Denial of Participation (LDP), or facing other sanctions, exclusions, fines, or penalties under federal or state law that affect the mortgagee or any key employee (for example, an officer, partner, director, manager, loan processor, underwriter, or loan originator); and losing a state mortgage loan originator license under the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (12 U.S.C. 5101 et seq.) or a similar state finding of ineligibility.
