§3731 Definitions

Defines two terms used here. "Reserve officer" is a commissioned officer in the Reserve, but not someone the other rule at section 3732 excludes or a commissioned warrant officer. "Discharged" is being released from a Reserve officer appointment.

As used in this subchapter—
(1)“Reserve officer” means a commissioned officer in the Reserve, except an officer excluded by section 3732 of this title or a commissioned warrant officer; and
(2)“discharged” means released from an appointment as a Reserve officer.
