The Commandant must send a report on diversity at the Coast Guard Academy to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation by January 15, 2021, and every year after. The report must say if the plan in section 8272 of the Elijah E. Cummings Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2020 is being carried out; describe outreach and recruitment and how well they worked, including the minority outreach team under section 1905 and work in U.S. territories; list incoming cadet demographics (gender, race, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic background, State); report retention, outcomes, and graduation rates by those categories; describe efforts to keep diverse cadets through staff and faculty development; and summarize discrimination complaints for the past five years by race, color, national origin, sex, gender, or religion.
