When the Secretary asks, the Secretary of the Army or the Secretary of the Air Force can accept Coast Guard members for training in any Army or Air Force school, including aviation schools. They can charge or not charge for costs if both sides agree, and the Coast Guard members must follow the school's rules. Coast Guard officers and enlisted members can buy Army quartermaster supplies at the same price Army personnel pay. The Army Secretary can also sell ordnance items to Coast Guard officers for official use in the same way those items are sold to Army officers.
