The Commandant can lease lighthouse property controlled by the Coast Guard to non-Federal groups, including private people, for up to 30 years. Rent can be money or partly or fully work on the property, like repairs or restoration. Section 1302 of title 40 does not apply. Money from these leases, after expenses, must go into the fund under section 2946.
