Title 15 › Chapter 41— CONSUMER CREDIT PROTECTION › Subchapter VI— ELECTRONIC FUND TRANSFERS › § 1693p
The Bureau must send reports to Congress within 12 months after the effective date of this subchapter and then once each year. Each report must explain how the Bureau is carrying out its duties and include any recommendations the Bureau thinks are needed. The report must say how well people are following the subchapter, give a summary of enforcement actions taken under section 1693o, and describe effects on costs and benefits to financial institutions and consumers, on competition, on new technology, on how financial institutions operate, and on whether consumer protections are adequate. When doing this work, the Bureau may ask other federal agencies for their views if those agencies regulate or supervise groups covered by this subchapter.
