Do not sell or ship barrels of fruits, vegetables, or other dry goods that are smaller than the standard third-, half-, or three-quarter-sized barrels inside the United States or to another state, territory, the District of Columbia, or abroad. If someone does this on purpose, it is a misdemeanor and they can be fined up to $500 or jailed up to six months in federal court. A barrel sent overseas is allowed if it was made to the foreign buyer’s specifications and does not break that country's laws.
